Series of exciting street performances at Vui-Fest Bazaar 

The street musical show "Sparkling" premiered recently at the Fun Phet Night Market (Phu Quoc), helping the pearl island continue to be a lively entertainment destination attracting many tourists.

To add a new and unique experience for visitors when they come to the pearl island, the Fun Phet Night Market - VuiFest Bazaar continues to introduce the street musical show "Sparkling".

"Sparkling" is a show inspired by the lives of shoe-shining boys.

"Sparkling" debuted on March 23, 2024, with two show times at 8:00 PM and 10:15 PM daily. This is the next creative show of the Fun Phet Night Market, following the success of "Loose and Jovial Show" which attracted hundreds of tourists every night thanks to its unique concept - using kitchen utensils and fishing tools as performance props.

The show is a hip hop musical inspired by the story of shoe-shining boys on the streets. For the first time in Vietnam, the everyday actions of shoe shining have been transformed into intricate and visually stunning hip hop moves.

Fun Phet Night Market has become a special outdoor stage - a lively shoe-shining neighborhood with the sound of shoes being polished, shoe boxes, and the familiar calls. Audiences are thrilled not only by the complex technical dances but also become a part of the show, joining the actors in setting trends with popular social media dances like "Làng lá" and "See tình."

"Audiences will be surprised to see the simple, everyday scenes of Vietnamese streets being transformed into a musical and fun dance performance," said Dương Đình Hoàng, a young artist performing in the show.

During its initial days, the two performances attracted many excited audiences enjoying shopping and entertainment at the seaside night market in Phu Quoc.

"Very good, fun, and interesting, also creative. The young artists perform naturally like breathing. The performance props were also a surprise, as the audience saw paint buckets, aluminum trays, and trash cans being turned into lively and hip hop-filled music. Street shows like this add more experience and joy for tourists coming to the island," said Ngoc Lan, a visitor from Hanoi.

Natalia Vladi, an excited Russian visitor, shared: "I was surprised that Phu Quoc is not as quiet as what I read in the media in Russia. This island is lively day and night, where tourists can enjoy fun shows like this on the streets. Not every destination can do that."

Not only does "Sparkling" feature lively hip hop music, dynamic dances, and modern choreography, but it also combines the vibrant cultural backdrop of Vietnamese street culture, promising to bring tourists new yet familiar experiences.

Through the performance, "Sparkling" not only tells the story of the wandering lives on the streets but also conveys a message about love and unity regardless of background or circumstances.

In addition to "Sparkling," visitors to the Vui Fest Bazaar can still enjoy the "Loose and Jovial" show, and coming up, the market will be even more lively with the upcoming circus comedy show "Hilarious" and the variety music show performed by actors from the LGBT+ community - "Glamorous."

With the introduction of these captivating street shows, the Vui Fest Bazaar is gradually becoming the top entertainment destination on the pearl island. With over 50 stalls ranging from culinary delights to exquisite handicrafts, this is where visitors can experience the essence of Phu Quoc.
