Form of entry
- Entry by sea through Duong Dong Port Border Gate, Kien Giang province: electronic visa issued on the spot.
- Entry by land through Ha Tien International Border Gate, Kien Giang province: electronic visa issued on the spot.
- Enter Phu Quoc island by air through Phu Quoc International Airport: electronic visa issued on-site. If tourists enter Vietnam at other international airports, they will complete immigration procedures at the arrival airport; Then stay at the airport's transit area while waiting to transfer to the domestic flight to Phu Quoc island.
Citizens of the following 13 countries (regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, provided they meet the entry requirements under Vietnamese law) will be granted a temporary stay of 45 days in Phu Quoc:

Special Temporary Residence Policy
Citizens of the following 13 countries (regardless of passport type, purpose of entry, and on the basis of meeting all entry requirements under Vietnamese law) will be granted a temporary stay in Phu Quoc for 45 days:
- Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland and Republic of Belarus.
Foreigners who are legally residing in Vietnam and visiting Phu Quoc Island are not required to complete temporary residence certification procedures, but only need to report temporary residence as per current regulations.
Traveling from Phu Quoc to other localities
If visitors wish to travel from Phu Quoc to other localities, the immigration management agency will consider granting a visa at Phu Quoc Island. In case they want to stay in Phu Quoc Island beyond the permitted period, the immigration management agency will consider extending their temporary residence.
Foreigners who request an extension of temporary residence, change the purpose of registered temporary residence, issue, supplement, amend visas, or apply for temporary or permanent residence cards, can do so through agencies, organizations, individuals, or directly with the immigration management agency of the Phu Quoc Police.
